Zelensky refers to Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian politician, actor, and comedian who became the President of Ukraine in May 2019. He initially gained fame through his role in the television series “Servant of the People,” where he played a teacher who unexpectedly becomes president. After entering politics, he founded a political party also named “Servant of the People.” Zelensky’s presidency is marked by significant events, including addressing corruption in Ukraine, navigating the country’s relationship with Russia, especially during the escalation of conflict in 2021 and beyond, and leading his nation through the Russian invasion of Ukraine that began in February 2022.
